Crosby Gilbert & Sullivan
Society |
Welcome to the site of the Crosby G&S Society. Crosby G&S has
been established for over 50 years in Crosby, North Liverpool,
UK. We are an amateur society putting on a full production of
one of W.S.Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan's shows each year, as
well as a Spring concert programme of mixed numbers from the
shows.
The society boasts a strong membership but we are always
looking for new blood to join us in helping on and behind the
stage. If you would like to see life on the other side of the
footlights, why not come along to a rehearsal and see what we're
like? We are particularly looking for altos and
tenors to rebalance the mix within the society. Anyone
over 16 is welcome to apply - send us an email if you are
interested and we can give you more details.
We meet every Thursday evening at the
Waterloo United Reform Free Church Hall, Crosby Road North,
Waterloo (next door to Crosby Library). Visit any rehearsal to see what we are
like before committing yourself to joining us. If you
would like to get involved but don't fancy acting, you can just
sing in concerts or help out back-stage.
Become a patron of the Society - get priority booking and
invitations to social events, and see your name in the
programme! Adverts for your business can also be booked in
the programme at very reasonable rates - contact us for more
details.
